The Cup Of Life Poem by Walterrean Salley

The Cup Of Life

Daily, we drink of the cup of life,
Then reap the sweet, or bitter,
Not privy to the consequences—
All things to consider.

Tho' some things that come our way
Can cause the heart to melt,
In life we learn that we must play
The hand that we are dealt.

So the ambiguous cup of life
Is more than just a wink
At times it's sweet, at times it's sour ‘
But we all must drink.
