The Dark Sunday Sky Poem by RIC BASTASA

The Dark Sunday Sky

oh there are just
too many

the rain pours heavily
there is no drop of
rain that
pleasesthe grass blades
anymore

yes, that is true.
when it is not rare,
it becomes too cheap.
and when it is
cheap
it is taken for granted.

do not show the whole
body of this love.
find a veil, do not show
the landscape of
a face.

do not speak. savor
the silence of the
spirit.

stare and be a star
in the dark sunday sky.
