The Day Freedom Of Speech Fell Silient Poem by Daniel Hooks

The Day Freedom Of Speech Fell Silient

Today newspaper articles weren't printed
or even hinted at.
Today the news on tv didn't tell a word of truth
or care for proof.
Today internet blogs were thrown off the server.
Today the common man wasn't heard.
Today the backbench rebel poltician wasn't allowed to say a word.
Today spin did win
Today were all brainwashed
squashed beneath propaganda and censorship
Today freedom of speech had its tongue cut!
