The Day I Left My Foot Poem by Antonio Liao

The Day I Left My Foot

dazzling face remembered, freedom rejoices
with doubt of the future
rematch and conclusion hurt every
feeling of where
the past engulf the tension stop in a distance

the night becomes the day and as the days
kept on moving, grill of flame
scattered in the my lap,
asking every shadow of repayment dew;
the moist have dried up, letting
the wind stands every palm
to poise and taste the agony of denial

standing beyond the horizon of doubt,
knowing that somebody
await in the cover of every curtain to tears;
landed with hope and devotion
that every droplets of rain
answer every push, reality shine my darkness
night as the eloquent songs falls my tears
to remember the call

knee among the grasses of pain, lighted only
with the hurried voice
of three siblings, the pasture invites me
venture and hold my shadow of mercy
of time, even the sun blinks
to settle me down to write every inch of
daylight

nay! I surrender to fight nor stay
to lay my arm down;
the war is not the end,
for I see that every beginning I win and every
win I will do my part to fight
