The Day You Walked Away Poem by Sarah Shifflet

The Day You Walked Away

I remember it like it was yesterday
the day you walked away
I should have ran after you and begged you to stay
now look where we are today
I'm drinking alot, your messing around on the girl you've got
I'm more depressed than ever
I feel like when you promised me forever, you really meant never
So is this really the end of the road? Only god knows
I surely hope that you change your ways
and that we both see better days in this thing called life
which seems to be a crazy maze day and night.
