The Dead Do Not Answer
THE DEAD DO NOT ANSWER
The dead do not answer
We call to them in the night
But they do not respond
It is our heart calling to them
Our pain our love our need
But they do not answer
All our memories call to them
All that they have been to us
And we with them
We call and call and call
Again and again and again
But they do not answer
The dead do not answer
And we will not answer either.
