The Dieased Heart Part 1 Poem by K.N. Sheldon

The Dieased Heart Part 1

It beats faster,
The pulse is deranged,
Hate rings through it’s chambers,
Lies flow like blood,
The streets riddled with filth,
Decaying walls of halls once grand,
Fire engulfs all,
It sinks like a stone,
To the depths of the sea,
Rage shakes the earth,
No pattern to see,
No beauty is left,
Nails pierce it’s core,
Tears sizzle,
Fists tighten,
Breath is ragged,
But, you live on,
Mocking the diseased heart.
