The Drunken Master Poem by Claude Simpson

The Drunken Master

I feel the force
Of unsteadiness
Lifting me
To make me free.

The feeling has
A grabbing hold
As I walk staggering
Grinning at glee.

A Sensei caught
In mode at dance
Prancing along
At every chance.

Boom box
Sending music
To pull the rug
From under my feet.

Like magic
I danced mimicking
The king ballerino
Of the street.
