The Edge Of Sanity Poem by Jonathan Strahan

The Edge Of Sanity

Thoughts cut like razors
brain pressures build
the mind remains filled
capacity reached
Sanity breached
like flood walls failing
my ship is sinking
the mind is bailing
Inner screams drowned
by outter percieved calm
sweaty palms
crazy eyes
the lips hold lies
saying 'everything is fine, i'm alright'
inside fright resides
with all my might i try
to hold
sanity
