The Enemy Poem by Prince Ifeoluwa Daniel ShanuOlu

The Enemy

Extravagant dishonest expert of the day
Why art thou unrestrained in your failures?
Your actions demarket,
Your cachet,
I treasure
But this entrance you may not get
Your unfittedness contrasts the demand
Your shadows dim the sunshine
Can thou allow competence to stretch its hands?
That we may retrieve the lost glory
Beneath your aspirations darkness reigns
O ye denizens,
why keep incompetence for today's comfort when you can buy turnaround for a lifetime.
In your heart lies the betterment of your generation
Will thou prefer to mortgage it?
Have a rethink for generations to come may withhold its forgiveness PIDS

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
