The Escape Poem by Dorothy (Alves) Holmes

The Escape

I snuggled up to the darkness
Hiding from your absence, but
It found me, holding me
Prisoner, hand cuffed to the emptiness...

Sunrise set me free again!

Short and to the point. No one escape from the grip of death. Very nice.
