The Essence Of Transience Poem by Atashi Ghosh

The Essence Of Transience

Rating: 4.8

Waves come and go along the golden strands
Setting at naught my futile engravings
The vast blue deep kissing my feet and receding
The surging white beckons me for a splash.
With each passing moment
The roaring waters approach nearer and nearer
Apprehension of wetness
Draws me backward all the more.
I miss the sandy track along which
You walked with me a minute ago.
The lashing waves only leave blur images
Of people who come and go.
Who desperately try to capture moments
That come and go,
Smile, fun, laughter, love
Are just glimpses on the shore.
The enormous azure attracts and repels
Depicting the permanence
Of a transitory presence.while the waves come and go,
I feel the transience
Of life as a whole.
I hold your hand sitting near the shore
To freeze some essence that we might feel no more.

Welcome to PoemHunter! A powerful and nice imagery is drawn in this poem with beauty of expression. Waves come and go and thoughts vibrate in mind. Feeling some essence, fragrance of time and life is wise. Love gives laughter and smile with tenderness. At every moment we feel Divine. We feel God's; love and grace through nature. This is an excellent poem...10
