The Eternal Quarrel Poem by Adam IceCommando

The Eternal Quarrel

Rating: 5.0

Or the conflict of good and evil, is summarized in a wrangle between…
a crow and a Dove

Crow
Behold the dolt with green in beak
Foolish in look and dull at speak
As fancy as it shines, it's glitter is weak
Poor who lives his life it seeks

Dove
I see you are back with same mockery!
Don't you learn? or ever gain sagacity?
I care not of such aimless imbecility
Go back to your dim ruins of malignity

Crow
Well, you are as I left you, fast in the say
You haven't changed your old disgraced way?
Are you blind? Or have you believed you bay?
Your acts are mere words soon to burn as hay
So don't get full of it, this is not your day.

Dove
Haven't you fed up with our endless debate?
Or do you wish to lavish our time in sparking hate?
Please mature, and take use of your pate
I don't want Hatred to be our constant fate
Can't you see that peace is salvation's gate?
How could we reign if death our necks bate?
We need to unite as one, before it's too late.

Crow
This words of unity and love, drives me sick
Do you actually believe in such a falling rick?
I knew you're a fool, but not an errant hick!
Take leave of this dream, which stands on a pick!
This world is for the strong to rule and flick
Your vile, vivid gab applies on a different deck
You might fool the dense, but you can't me trick

Dove
Your ways are unjust and full of pitch night
Who'd be in a world of chaos and fright?
None can live his whole life in a fight.
A world as this could never spread light
A realm which is based on tyranny and might
The one which neglect its dwellers' rights
Deserves to be torched in his bearer‘s mind.

Crow
Torched? ! huh, I see you're not without rage
I ever thought that you're this calm sage
But I guess, even you can't live in a cage
Yet you still dare to equal the master with its page
Such fatuous thoughts is as annoying as mange
You can't spread your "holy" example in this dark age
It's my utmost belief that I'm willing for it to engage.

Dove
Enough already, Let's cut this endless clash
I had my full of this continuous bash
You care not of morrow, you just live to squash
To cause misery, you rove to hurt and quash
This bare talk is just a waste of time
I once hoped for us, the opposites, to chime
But it appears both of us have its prime
Time shall show who'll eventually prevail
And whom world will come to fail
Hence, for my goal and my believers' sake
I'll forever hold back your dusky fake

Crow
Huh, fair enough my white fellow
It's my world of power or your cozy pillow
My kingdom of grandeur or your world of mellow
And yes, time shall state whose vision is real
And whom dreams are worth of reveal
Yet until that time, you can't me seal
I'm as real as you and you can't deny
That I too, the hearts of men occupy
And also can't I so we'll wait and see
Who in the end will crumble and flee
