The Flames Of Easter Poem by Joan Noëldechen

The Flames Of Easter

My heart stopped
When the flames engulfed
The beloved Notre Dame.
Between the palms
And resurrection of Christ
We lost a symbol
Of our faith as if some
Evil won during the holy week.
I am no Victor Hugo,
But she is immortal
Rising from the ashes
Of Christian martyrs.
