The Fountain of Truth
you stared at yourself
in the mirror
you smirked, not finding
what you wanted to see
it is the same old you
with more of the lines
and blemishes
your expensive treatments
failed to do a miracle
you should have realized
you cannot hold back time
and find the fountain of youth
so just face it
you might still find beauty
in the truth
