The Ghost Poem by Aria Lei

The Ghost

Half-way across the world,
(You guys are so lucky)
Is better than gone.
(To have them coming home)
In Iraq fighting,
(I’ll never get to see them)
Instead of up in Heaven.
(But you have only a few months)

Help me
(Help me)
Find me
(Find me)
Down in the dark
(Can’t find my own way home)

Help me
(Help me)
Find me
(Find me)
I’m a ghost
(Looking for my way home)

Up in Heaven
(I’m home)
Instead of haunting
(I’m safe)
A house down here on Earth
(I am alive, always in your hearts) .

Help me
(I’ve been helped)
Find me
(I’ve been found)
Down in the dark
(I’m in the light)

Help me
(I’ve been helped)
Find me
(I’ve been found)
I’m a ghost
(I’ve found my way home)

Now that you’ve found your way home…
(What about you?)
What about me?
(I can’t help you)
Help me
(I can’t)
Find me
(I would)
Save me, I’m the ghost now
(Tell someone, maybe they can help…
I can’t) .
