The Good Fight Poem by Claude Simpson

The Good Fight

Social access, world without end;
Sometimes we borrow sometimes we lend;
Big so big, enough opportunity for all
But weakness creates the loophole so things crumble and fall.

In this open era, everything has its time.
Life is what you make it, success makes you shine.
We follow the trend in whatever means to whatever end
But it’s a shuffle of ideas: the bad we object and the good we commend.

We give thanks for the works of faith;
It’s hard and tedious but the result is worth the wait.
The decision taken today may be crucial for tomorrow
But it’s good to strengthen one’s character rather than weep with sorrow.

Hard work and dedication will pave the way for success.
The road may be rough and rocky but endurance is the requisite test.
It’s unforgiving to throw down arms and yield
But it’s better to be prepared to fight and defend with wisdom the armored shield.
