the parrot said to the turtle:
I fight the evil in me and I praise the good
and I live my days in this conflict;
and I’m mindful of the words of the Great Good
and when I die
I shall surely be rewarded for this inner fight
and the turtle said to the parrot:
I eat what I can get
and sleep when it’s time;
I am empty of mind for
I accept no revelations
and I have no affiliations;
I don’t dwell on this or that
and just move on:
I see things as they are
and I do not lean on beliefs;
so I eat and swim and sleep as I please
and live each moment to its full…
