The Greatest Feeling Of All Poem by Christopher White

The Greatest Feeling Of All

The stream of comforting words,
That flow from your lips
Are my guide when I wake.

And a glimpse of your smile
Takes me away
To a peaceful plain
On the fields of a wonderous place
Where the rain doesn't fall
And the sky stays blue
As the grass cushions my head.

Your soul is the map that I read
So I only get lost
In the memories of us.

And a touch of your hand
Comforts my soul
Til I dream at night
Of the stars in our favourite place
Where the silver light shines
On the ocean's waves
As the world rests its head.

Your face beams with elegance,
With splendour and grace
I cant help but to cry

For the sight that befalls me
Is a gift
That fills my mind
With colours so bright and beautiful
That takes care of my tears
And treats them all
Like the brightest diamonds.
