The handy man is always
Just behind the door
Does anybody know
Just what he's there for?
Is he there to fix
Something in need of repair?
Will he fix it up
Using tenderness and care?
Is he there to mend
A wall, door or floor
Or is it something else
That's he's called upon for?
Could he be the one
To help mend a broken heart?
Will he have the tools
Or the extra part?
Or will he just lend comfort
To help ease the pain
Of a heart that's badly broken
That will never be the same
The handy man is always
Just behind the door
He can help to make repairs
To buildings and so much more
