The Harm I Had Done Poem by Mal Sharp

The Harm I Had Done

It was all in jest, just a bit of fun.
I didn't realise the harm I had done.
The words I uttered, not meant to wound or maim.
It was nothing serious, just a game.
She didn't feel the same, I later found out.
A noose hung taut, one last defeated shout.
It was just a game, just a bit of fun.
I had no idea, the harm I had done.
