Stealing My Youth Poem by Mal Sharp

Stealing My Youth

What did I do to deserve this?
I'd ask if I knew how to voice,
Did I destroy your sense of bliss?
I was never given a choice.

Did you plan this from the onset,
To steal away my innocence.
Having to endure constant threat,
Adopting a new vigilance.

I will not survive much longer,
I do not know how to fight back.
Being as you are far stronger,
I'll have to withstand your attack.

But even though you cause much pain,
I am to young to know the truth.
So on I go I won't complain,
But know this, you're stealing my youth.
