The Heart Of Love Poem by Long Tooth

The Heart Of Love

Did you ever consider love might have a heart?
And if so, then just what might Love's heart really be,
I'd say loyalty's nice and some do pay that price,
But if something gets paid can love also be free?
Might it be that love's heart, is quite simply God's Art?

If love's mystery's heard, is it known by its sound,
Do the colors of love shine in plumes that birds wear,
Bodies motion, a dance, that they teach girls in France?
Does it even make sense that love has to be fair?
Can love thrive in a vacuum that isn't nailed down?

For a few love's a dream that they dream can't be real,
Some suggest love's a need with a soul more like greed!
But if greed can persist, mustn't love too exist?
Love's a gift, just like pain, meant to serve human need,
Any feeling's your friend!Blessed are men that can feel!
