The Heart's Wall Poem by Panda Broussard

The Heart's Wall

Strength they say,

Is how you make it through another day.

One moment at a time,

Only it, can possibly ease your mind.

Have they walked the miles,

Have they felt this kind of pain?

No words to say unless the trials,

Were exactly the same.

But, nevertheless, offer comfort instead.

A hug, a kiss, a kind peck on the head.

Just knowing someone is there,

To help a friend, to know there is care.

Behind every offered word,

Helpful or hurtful, they are still heard.

A sunrise, a sunset, will occur.

Slowly calming the pain to a blur.

It will rise up and a tear will fall,

It's not forgotten, it's on the hearts wall.
