The Illusionary Self Paralyzes. Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore

The Illusionary Self Paralyzes.

Rating: 5.0

Theillusionary self paralyzes.
It obscures reality.

Dissolution of the false self
is the answer to all our problems.

Man is an exile in a world of objects,
each one capable of deluding
and enslaving him.

Man is held captive in the complex
and painful network of loves and hatreds,
desires and fears, lies and excuses.

Thus, the mind is enslaved by
an inexorable concern
with all that is exterior,
transient, illusory and trivial.

So are we exiled from
God and from his inmost self.
