The Inevitable Fall Poem by Suhad Salih Abubakar

The Inevitable Fall

If love were permanent
Nobody will ever work to maintain it
Or even think of sustaining it
When love decides where it will go
It parades every where like the air
But only rests its tentacles on the fated one
Love is never permanent

My thought exactly
We fall in and out of love daily
Tolerance unlike love is more desirable
If only love is built on tolerance
So why stress your existence
Assume lifes beauty and irony
And con in yourself
The wrong person was met
And climb that ladder to love again
