The Injured Lion Poem by Tang Trevor

The Injured Lion

He should lead the forest.
No objection, no doubt.
He bleeds and has a rest,
just sit and shout.

He was calm and combative,
no one was his enemy.
Smiled to his relative,
he was everyone's sweetie.

He bleeds and weeps.
No longer the superior.
No praise can reap.
He hopes being stronger.

He is being shot again.
Bleeded and depressed.
Being numb, no pain.
Sad, he is suppressed.

Fight back. Bleeds again.
Being weak from 'strong'.
Glory can regain.
when the day prolongs.

Poet's remarks:
Being sad after tests and exams, I feel suppressed.
I am capable to do it, but my burden and nervouness affect my performance.
That's why I write it.
