The Insidious Verbalizations Of A 'Pissonyou' Bird

I was carrying out the trash tonight...
First to the outside can and then to the street curb
As is the custom here in suburbia and Constantinople....
Anything else would be less than orthodox
And as good Christians and Jews we must always recycle one's
Trash to keep it separate from one's garbage
Can't have those plastic containers with the snap on lids missing
Smelling of week old asparagus tips or left over macaroni and cheese
Beer cans... and wine bottles....now there's a conundrum
Some say it's impossible to decide if they are truly worthy
Of such an enormous amount of attention or just so many
Egomaniacal decision making policies for the betterment of
Self Preservation Societies and Ray Davies solo album sales
To all be hauled off to the landfill of Pampered Depends
Where white rabbits and Grace Slick reign supreme
With Lewis Carroll junkies shooting Chianti and candle wax in their veins....
As they dig for buried treasures hidden in the pages of the Wall Street Journal
Bird Cage droppings of grapes and concrete
....fish heads and shark fins....internals and bowels
I was carrying out the trash tonight....
When I was attacked by a left wing radical mockingbird
Who obviously wasn't amused___
