The Introverted Man.... Poem by RIC BASTASA

The Introverted Man....

inside his room
he watches the cctv
monitoring the
activities along the
city road beside
his modest home

outside is
a busy street with
all the cars
and motorcycles racing
against each other
rushing towards their
destinations
early morning with
such a traffic
the people simply flows
with what is there.

they stop and look at their
watches
talks to their cellphones
and bites their tongues
and wriggles their heads
and stomps their feet on
the gas,

in the comfort of his
private room jibing withthe
hum of the airconditioning
unit, he becomesa
thinker
tinkering his way out
towards
an exit from the convoluted labyrinths of his
depression.
