The Juvenile Monitor Lizard
The juvenile monitor lizard
When it came to my notice
I too mistook it for a snake
But it was not a snake
But a juvenile monitor lizard
Looking sprinkled with black and white spots,
Black and whitey dotted and spotted
Which will change into the soil yellow colour later on.
