The Kiss Poem by Howard Kern

The Kiss

Rating: 5.0

In 1901 her liquid flew out,
The hole that started laughter,
Deep, down in the south.
Her dark headed spew,
Of an odor-reffic oil scent,
Taught Texans that knew,
The wonder of her odor,
Most people would just let go.
The children have multiplied,
Fast as her slippery flow.
America is strong as ever,
Thanks to Spindletop you know.
The Golden Triangle grew up around her,
This place I call home.
And being from Texas,
We will tell you what you should know.
America better kiss the power deep in the south,
When Rita punched Texas in the right side of the mouth...
