The Land Was Always There Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

The Land Was Always There

Delagoa Bay!
Who owns Papa's Land?
Read the history of Africa and tell me the truth;
For the land was always there before someone came on it,
And the eggs do have lesser life span to live.
Someone came and pluck the fruit from the tree,
For the land protected it and the shades of love covered it;
But who owns Papa's Land?
