The Lash Poem by priscah Mutswenje

The Lash

Rating: 5.0

It soothes when it sinks deep into us
It soothes when it sinks deep into us
It fools when it holds our words
It steals our breaths
This soft lash

It comes when we will
It stems from the trill
It branches to the shrill
cut short by this soft lash

The teens long for it
The aged take it as fit
for amorous moments that beat
their times in this soft lash

In public some give
In privacy many believe
they can take and receive
this soft sweet lash
