The Last Roses Poem by Justin Gildow

The Last Roses

The last roses are for you two
And the many gifts you gave to me

You are now away
Gone into the world
But your voices will remain with me always

The last roses are yours
Just like a story
Through and through
Always something to begin with
Your essences are carried to me through the sky
Your voices come to me by the wind
I shall miss you two
And the songs that you sang that I knew

If these were the last roses
And this was the fate they were given
Then through and through
They belonged to the two of you
