The Last Waltz Poem by Justin Gildow

The Last Waltz

Daylight's fading
The night's coming
Dark colors coming to us from all around are shading

We both know that we may never see each other again
So let's exchange gifts to and from one another
A simple way of saying goodbye
A simple way of always remembering
A simple way of always remaining friends

Since for the time being
It's just you and me
Let's partake in the last waltz

In each other's arms
We look up and smile at the stars
We're enjoying the last waltz
We're enjoying the final dance
We're enjoying the memorable time we have now with one another
