The Lies Poem by Ashley Jarrett

The Lies

How nonchalantly

The lies

Fall from your lips

With deceitful advances

You seek

A tender kiss

A bottomless love

Taken for granted

Cannot help but fly above

To leave you

With deservedly empty embraces
