The Little Mouse Poem by Reva Kern

The Little Mouse

Rating: 3.0

The small white mouse
Slips in with a quick tiny step
Around the nearly naked baby
Who wriggles in its cradle
And while on its coverlet
The child drools and dribbles
The small white mouse
Slips in with a quick tiny step

Crac! There it is —
Within an inch of the delicate baby
The black cat is coming
Climbs into the cradle
The little white mouse
