The Lonely Run Poem by Casey Taylor

The Lonely Run

I walk carelessly in the middle of the road with not a care in the world my eyes slightly adjusting to the darkness not caring about a thing just letting the wind mess up my hair my black clothes making it easy for someone to hit me wishing then and there the light would come easy and I could see once more I remembered a time when it wasn’t all ways like this, there was a time when my girlfriend still loved me and I didn’t cut my self I only wish that was still the same as my tear drops slowly fall I think I see her in the rain standing there beckoning for me to run and catch her I try to run but it all disappears as I see the light once more with blood running down my hand.
