The Loss Of A Long-Time Companion Poem by Hebert Logerie

The Loss Of A Long-Time Companion

A female pigeon
Lost her long-time companion
She is now alone
She is now insane
She is now torn
Listen to her excruciating pain
Listen to the distant horn
Listen to her long moan
Listen to the fading away violin
Listen to the evanescing refrain
The train is long gone
Everything is done
No tune, no iPhone
And no dial tone
Yet, she is not at peace
To say the least
This is a new season
This is not a good fun
The train is long gone
She is now alone
She is out of tune
Listen to her long moan
Listen to her excruciating pain
Listen to the fading away refrain.

Is it possible for a pigeon to find a new mate? I certainly hope so.

Yes, but it is not the same thing.
