The Lost Love Poem by Nancy Cullen

The Lost Love

Rating: 3.5

i swear it was love,
sent from above,
i never saw it ending,
and neither did i remember the beginning,
the pain killed me over and over again,
i stopped the hows, whys and ifs for there was nothing to gain,
the night can only last for so long,
but the sun will always come along,
fear lived with me through the night,
but the sun brought courage and it was out of sight,
i have no regrets when it comes to you,
for i will always love you, but not be in love with you.

I think this is how the woman I love feels and it destroys me inside. Good piece.
