The Love We Share Poem by Tessa Marsland Pettigrove

The Love We Share

We always talk about what is going on, 8/4/2009
even if something is wrong.
We hold each other in our arms wishing that someday we can break free.
From the families,
From our lives and just live as one.
Thinking of us can sometimes be fun.
Apart from when we get into a serious talk which really ends up with someone feeling better or even worse.
I cannot take my eyes off you.
You sit there looking at me ever so quietly,
When I am sad you just sit and hold me through all the bad.
I would hate to think that one day you and me would be over because I would have just lost my lover.
I sit and talk to my mates and they all say you and me are just great.
Sometimes when I am with you I may not want to talk but there is always that little something you do and it just bursts out of me.
I can tell you anything and everything and you actually listen to me.
So unlike all the other guys who just do not care.
Baby,
Being with you is so amazing.
Nothing feels better than that.
I live for you as you live for me because really that is all we have left in our lives.
Believe me bub,
You are my one and only
