The Man Poem by Kelly Shhhhhh

The Man

Rating: 5.0

He exists but is unseen,
Watching every move I make.
Lifeless

My focus is gone.

He exists but in the corners of my eyes,
Listening to every sound I make.
Attentive

Anxiety introduces itself.

He exists but only in the shadows,
Criticizing my existence.
Judgemental

My will to be humane is gone.

He exists but only in my mind,
Yelling in my ear.

I hate the way that he stares at me.

I turn away from the mirror.

My will to live is gone.
Ihatethe way that he stares at me.

An insightful depiction of anxiety as a shadow without substance. Brilliant thought provoking rendition written with clarity of thought and mind. Focused and factual. Thanks for sharing Kelly and do remain enriched.
