The Man And The Cat! Poem by Junate Ers.

The Man And The Cat!

The cat meowed,
The man bent his head
The picture slid to east
The car ran over his dad

The cat dashed to the dish,
The man pulled a tissue and
Wiped away his past.
Dad waited for help
Squeezing a paper
In his bleeding hand.

She licked her whiskers out
Feeling full and fat
The man raised his head
Erasing his memories.
Dad did not have time
And dropped the paper
Off his palm.

The cat jumped to the lap
Of the man
Who found his future
He stood up
To straight the picture out
The paper said:
I love you, Dad,
Your beloved son.
But Dad in the picture
Is already gone!
