The Man Of The Season Poem by Cynthia Aluning

The Man Of The Season

Your soul speaks to me
In the darkest of the night
The look of you I yearn
In every corner of my mind
Your voice echoes to my ears,
Like music that feels so right
The scent of you in the air
A little heaven on this earth

A taste of milk and honey on your skin
I cant deny...I can't help but fancy
The eyes that can hide a million lies
I am so helpless, they cause me to shiver
The smile upon your face, a soothing sight
Makes me not worry for the rest of the day
A strength of a thousand and one
Valiant knights within your palm
With open arms...I hope to surrender

Flirting glances with coy smiles
Heighten every sense so warming sight
Some talking dirty, a tingling touch...
Shockwaves of heat sent all the way down
Sensual are your ways...
When you move I could but gaze
Electrifying is your desire,
I almost scream in wild amaze

In this season of romance
You are the man I mostly wanted
As the leaves fall to the ground
My hopes continue falling down
Can we exist as genuine lovers,
No matter what it takes?
Or we're just each other's toy,
In this charade we used to play?
