The Martyr's Call Poem by Philip Caldwell

The Martyr's Call

Rating: 5.0

The call has been heard
and the Siren's song plays.
Kissing the dreams of reality,
my dream diminishes.
Sands of time keep flowing,
aghast the final niche,
a solemn goodbye,
my time is at it's resolution.

The call has been heard
and wisdom herself,
holds out her hand.
Life's equation resounds.
Balance is in check,
I heed the Martyr's call.
If others choose to rise,
It is I who must fall.
