The Mask Poem by abi Whitaker

The Mask

It's so annoying
that i don't even know what it is about all this
that annoys me
and it's so damn frustrating that you don't get it
you don't get that everybody already knows
and nobody cares
you say that you wear a mask
but that we already knew
yeah, we always knew
you say it's because
you're afraid we won't like whats underneath
but it's the flipping mask that we don't like
just please stop pretending
and copyng
and all that fake sh*t
because it realy gets under my skin
we know all about all that
we figured out stuff you don't even know we know
but you'd just pretend anyway
and pretend it never happend
but i think it's way too late now
and that's probably my fault but oh well
because i can't go back to all that
even if that is what you want
because i know too much
and i hate that mask
but it doesn't matter does it
so wear it
or don't wear it
for him
and everyone else
but we all know anyway.
