The May Queen Poem by Jeevan Bhagwat

The May Queen

Come, let us go to the meadows
To the rolling hills of green,
Let us go and I will make you
My newly crowned May Queen.

The birds will sing an anthem
Proclaiming you most fair,
And I will pick you flowers
To place within your hair.

And all the little blossoms
That hang upon each bough,
Will shower you with petals
To kiss your cheeks and brow.

So come, my darling Anna
Come, and let's be seen,
That all can bow in honour
To you, my fair May Queen.
