The Milky Way Poem by Pete Crowther

The Milky Way

(Written after seeing a coloured photograph of the ‘Galactic Bulge’ area of the Milky Way taken from the Hubble space telescope)

Great God it takes one’s very breath away
To see the Hubble picture of the Milky Way,
A million trillion separate stars that shine
To fill with sacred light the firmament divine.

Lovely write! The more we learn about the universe the stranger, yet more beautiful, that it seems. -chuck

That is a lovely write Peter, one is lost for words on seeing something like that. The marvels of space and the universe, unbelievable and breathtaking in its splendour. I loved this poem very much. Love and hugs Ernestine XXX
