The Mind
The mind is a battlefield they say.
What does that even mean?
Some say the mind is troubled.
Some say the mind is good.
Which side am I supposed to believe?
The mind is tricky sometimes.
It can also trick you into doing things
That is not oh so great.
One day it is calm.
The next it is full of racing thoughts.
When that does happen,
It is sometimes hard to control.
Like comparing yourself to others,
Which it not very good as I may say.
The mind is like a warzone,
That people have to fight to get out.
But do they really fight,
Or do they stay?
The mind is a battlefield they say.
Worry, Guilt, and Anxiety.
Thoughts that are not so great.
It is a cycle, as I may add.
But instead this shows
The mind is battlefield.
Now that I know it is...
What about you?
Do you believe it is?
Mind..... battlefield, depressive, loving, active, guilt, anxiety, fear, faith, troubled, hard to control. thought....... MInd is our greatest gift which is not physical........ what is it, is it intelligence, is it brain, is it thinking capacity..... is it all these non physical capacities together? ? mind remains a mystery which by reflection leads us to God the greatest of all mysteries........... very nice poem.... thank you. tony
