The Moon Waits Poem by Pete Rivera

The Moon Waits

Rating: 5.0

Crescent moon now
Lies in silent wait
For the sun to go down
In summer, too late

Adrift in the spring
The silent moon is
Gone in the day
During the sun's bright kiss

The stars accompany the moon
In the dark of night
But do not the sun
When all is bright
